Come out and join for a family fun-filled day to celebrate our nation's birthday! 9am to 1pm: Family Fun Zone. Find us at City Hall in the parking lot.10am: Parade! Join along the parade route through downtown Airdrie. Fantastic floats and bands including the Stampeder Outriders, Alberta Firefighters Pipe Band, the Stampede Parade Float and more! We are honoured and very proud to have as Parade Marshall Mr. Peter Pookhay: Decorated WWll Hero who was recently awarded the rank of Knight of the French National Order of the Legion of Honour and as Dignitary Mackenzie Murphy, the catalyst behind Airdrie's Anti-bullying Law, participating in our parade. 12Noon: The Airdrie Public Library will be hosting a BBQ and what is a party without free Canada Day Birthday Cake! 8 to 10pm: Finish this great day off with another family fun zone before the fireworks at Ed Eggerer Park (Behind Genesis Place). 10:30pm/dusk: Fireworks!

East Village Street Fair (EVSF).

The East Village Street Fair (EVSF) and East Village Show n’ Shine is strategically placed between the City Hall LRT station and Fort Calgary. Working with various organizations, EVSF hosts over 80 artisans and non-profit organizations either promoting their mandates or selling their wares. Throughout the day, there will be performances from local musicians and performing artists. As this is a family-friendly event, there will be a children's area that will serve to be an interactive area for all patrons.
