The TD Summer Reading Club is a great way to keep kids reading all summer through fun activities, great books and prizes - and it's free! Visit your community library to register and receive your TD Summer Reading Club booklet and Reading Ballots. Then have fun reading! Books, magazines, trivia books, comics and everything else counts. Read for two hours each week (or be read to) and track your reading on the Reading Ballots. Return your completed ballots throughout the summer for a chance to win weekly prizes and grand prize: one of 20 $100 gift cards to Toys "R" Us. Drop off new school supplies to support local students in need. Most needed items are pencils, erasers, pens, lined paper, white board markers, backpacks, and lined paper. Drop off at Sylvan NE (2220, 68 Street NE, #3), Sylvan SE (5126, 126 Avenue SE, #103), or Sylvan SW (5308, 17 Avenue SW, #3).

We offer a unique Kinder Program designed specifically for families who intend to home educate their family. Students who are least 4 years and 6 months old by September 1st of each year and who are registered with Phoenix by September 30 of each year qualify for Kinder Kash [Transportation Grant] and do not have to pay for basic Kinder classes (475 hours for Free). Kinder classes run Tuesdays and Thursdays plus some Fridays from 9am to 3pm. Regular attendance is expected. Come and find out more.

The City of Calgary Ralph Klein Park Summer Drop-In Programs. Safari into the underwater world of wetland wonders on Tuesdays. This summer, The Brainasium will remain open until 8pm every Wednesday until August 31. After the rest of the building closes, head outside to enjoy the summer evening. Swing, climb, jump, and play while the sun begins to set. We recommend packing a picnic to enjoy outside at the tables. The cafe will be closed during this time. If you arrive after 5pm, admission to Park Nights is only $7. Subject to cancellation depending on weather. All other galleries, cafe, and store will be closed. Only The Brainasium will be open.
