Come and enjoy an afternoon listening to stories and some of Canada’s finest musicians. Storyteller/Musician Samantha Whelan Kotkas and her friends will entertain you and your children with musical interactive tales of child-accessible hikes in the Rocky Mountains. Teach your child about courage, unity, joyfulness, and caring in an afternoon of fun and adventure. An event for the whole family that you will want to be a part of. Recommended for children aged 5 to 12, but created with the entire family in mind. Come one hour before the show & enjoy family friendly activities. Stay after to meet the performers. Kensington Sinfonia Presents, Storytellers.

From the quirky phantasmagoria of George Antheil's “Serenade for Strings” to the character-piece movements of Telemann's “The Nations Suite,” Kensington Sinfonia presents an evocative program of music surrounding characters and storytelling. The programme also includes Purcell's wonderful “Chaconne” from King Arthur and “Chase the Money” by Canadian composer John Oliver with saxophonist Jeremy Brown. The winner of Kensington Sinfonia’s 7th Annual Student Concerto Competition, 11-year-old cellist Ephraim Chen, will also join the Sinfonia to perform the cello concerto in C minor by Johann Christian Bach.
