Currently, Altadore has started its Fall Recreational Session. The Recreation Program offers once a week classes for those athletes who love the sport of gymnastics and are looking for a fun way to exercise. Within these programs, children will learn basic, fundamental moves that help their gymnastics skills as well as can increase strength, flexibility, motor coordination and air awareness. We have classes for everyone! From those teeny tiny little ones, who are just learning how to walk and balance to those older athletes learning how to flip and fly, and of course even for those adults who just want to bounce around on the trampolines! AGC also opens its doors to other sports and school programs as Calgary Pythons Cheer Team, Clear Water Academy and Calgary Free Riderz. As well, on the weekends our gym is full of Birthday kids and their friends. With our amazing birthdays, kids get to experience an hour in the gym with some of the best coaches in Calgary where they will play games, learn some cool gymnastics moves, and of course spend time in the always fun Foam Pit. The second hour of the party is spent in the party room, where the classic birthday fun continues, with the parents providing food, opening presents, and of course blowing out the candles on the birthday cake! Westside Children's The Westside Children's Choir is made up of two separate choirs: the Westside Junior Choir for singers in grades 3, 4, and 5, and the Westside Senior Choir for singers in grades 5 to 12. The choirs are self-sufficient, funded by fees alone and requiring no fundraising activities or volunteer commitments by parents or singers. Financial assistance is available upon request with no child denied membership because of a family's inability to pay the fee. The directors of the choirs are professional teachers and musicians. They are dedicated to developing a love of music and singing in their individual choir members, while working to achieve excellence in the art of choral singing. Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings at Scarboro United Church, 134 Scarboro Ave. S.W. CALGARY REPTILE PARTIES SUMMER CAMP Contact: Jason Clevett What's the difference between a reptile and an amphibian? What do you feed a chameleon? Campers will learn all about our slimy, scaly friends in the world around us and how to take care of them - both as pets, and protecting them from environmental damage. Calgary's #1 birthday party experience (Parent's Choice Award Winner 2011) blends fun and learning in this week-long day camp. Campers will spend the week with our many on-site animals, including Tobias the bearded dragon, Bartholomew the chameleon, Simon the ball python, and the stars of the week - Yoshi, a five-foot green iguana, and Elvira, the nine foot boa constrictor! Many more guest reptiles and amphibians will visit for theme days.
