Takes place November 13 to January 5. Legacy's 4th Annual Christmas Light Parade. Experience the magic of the holidays in Legacy! The 4th Annual Christmas Light Parade is back with over 200,000 twinkling lights for you and your family to enjoy for the month of December. It is free and open for everyone - take an evening drive through the community or walk through the tunnels of lights. The public parks, as well as over 20 Show Homes in the community, will be decorated for Christmas!

Come and enjoy an afternoon listening to stories and some of Canada’s finest musicians. Storyteller/Musician Samantha Whelan Kotkas and her friends will entertain you and your children with musical interactive tales of child-accessible hikes in the Rocky Mountains. Teach your child about courage, unity, joyfulness, and caring in an afternoon of fun and adventure. An event for the whole family that you will want to be a part of. Dine with friends as live holiday entertainment fills the market, indulge in treats while you find the perfect gift, and create memories with holiday activities. Visit your favorite market vendors, plus seasonal vendors offering gifts, food, jewelry, décor, and more. Join for Santa photos and cookie decorating, Tea with Mrs. Claus, ice carving, visits with Santa’s Reindeer, and more. Free parking and free admission.

Bring in your kids and get some one-on-one time with Santa! While in-store, kids can take part in a special The Elf on The Shelf® scavenger hunt and locate seven Scout Elf photos hidden throughout the store to reveal a special message from Santa! Winterfest at Ralph Klein Park. Celebrate National Child Day with an action-packed afternoon of activities and entertainment for all ages. Get creative in the crafts room, join a guided park tour, or test your birdwatching skills. Learn fun facts about the park’s wildlife and try out the new Natural Playground with zipline! Exhibitors will be on-hand sharing information about National Child Day and how they support children and youth in being active together to create strong, healthier families. Experience fun fitness as a family in this circuit-style course.

The Calgary Youth Orchestra, led by Music Director Edmond Agopian, will serve up a sumptuous feast of masterpieces composed by three of the most famous and beloved German composers, spiced up by side dishes of Latin music! The first courses will be Beethoven’s tempestuous Coriolanus Overture, and the elegant first movement of Schubert’s Second Symphony. The main dish of the evening will be all four movements of Johannes Brahms’ Symphony No. 1. It is one of the most monumental pieces in the classical repertoire and legend has it that Brahms laboured over it for over 14 years until he was satisfied. The evening’s meal will conclude with three spicy pieces by Cuban composer Ernesto Lecuona, based on his impressions of Southern Spain; Andalucia, Cordoba and Malaguena.
