Lougheed House is pleased to present the work of renowned Calgary based photographer, George Webber. This exhibition of recent work underscores the photographer’s fascination with the formal beauty of this abandoned and feral industrial site. George Webber has been photographing the people, landscape and urban environment of the Canadian west for over 35 years and has received numerous awards for his photography. His work can be found in museums and archives in Canada, France, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland and Australia. This exhibit is part of the Exposure Photography Festival, presenting photography exhibits and special events across Alberta.

Inspired by the City of Calgary’s Snow Angel program, Quest Theatre wants to extend a little kindness to the downtown core. Bring your lunch, invite a co-worker, friend, or a little one and join us at noon on Wednesday January 28th in the beautiful municipal atrium for a free performance of Quest Theatre’s production of SNOW ANGEL. Quest Theatre will be able to share this celebrated, locally created show with Calgarians before its National Tour which includes Persephone Theatre in Saskatoon and Young People’s Theatre in Toronto. Snow Angel is a story told without words, in full mask using movement and music about the ripple effect of kindness, set in an Alberta community during winter. It is appropriate for all ages and is approximately one hour in length.
