Pianist Charles Foreman Continues Beethoven’s 32 Piano Sonata Cycle.
> Saturday Apr 25, 2015 at 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
The solo piano sonatas of Beethoven are a unique contribution by one of the greatest geniuses in history to music, to humanity and to the pianist’s repertoire. Calgarians can hear the second installment of the entire cycle of 32 pieces. Performances of the complete Beethoven sonatas are very rare – few pianists have the time or the inclination to tackle such a monumental journey. The pianist in this ambitious project is Charles Foreman. This will be the second time in just over a decade that Mr. Foreman has played the 32 sonatas of Beethoven. Single tickets are $30 (adults)/$20 (students/seniors). Free for children 12 and under. Tickets are available by calling 403-240-4174, by emailing mvfest@telus.net or available to purchase at the door. Single tickets are also available through www.brownpapertickets.com.
