Storyteller/Musician Samantha Whelan Kotkas and her friends will entertain you and your children with musical interactive tales of child-accessible hikes in the Rocky Mountains. Teach your child about courage, unity, joyfulness, and caring in an afternoon of fun and adventure. An event for the whole family that you will want to be a part of. Recommended for children aged 5 to 12, but created with the entire family in mind. Come one hour before the show & enjoy family friendly activities. Stay after to meet the performers. Join for the 11th Annual Rock the House Run® presented by Apache in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities Southern & Central Alberta! Featuring a 10K Run, 5K Run and Walk, and 1K McDonald’s Go Active! Walk (perfect for little legs), there is truly something for everyone. With the start and finish line at Market Mall, participants will wind through the community of Varsity enjoying some of Calgary’s finest musical entertainers, artists, dancers, and performers along the way. Families are also invited to join in the Family Festival area located outside Market Mall for complimentary snacks, bouncy castles, caricature artists, balloon twisters, a petting zoo, face painting, photo booth, and more. Being held Sunday, September 17, 2017 at 10am at TELUS Spark, Calgary's Science Centre. This family event will feature face painting, games and live entertainment, and is open to people of all ages. Walk, run or ride 1km, 5km, or 10km in the fight against cancer!
