From citywide, pop-up engineered art galleries and flame-spitting, larger-than-life public art encounters to the entertaining science of … everything, there’s something for everyone! Storyteller/Musician Samantha Whelan Kotkas and her friends will entertain you and your children with musical interactive tales of child-accessible hikes in the Rocky Mountains. Join for the 11th Annual Rock the House Run® presented by Apache in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities Southern & Central Alberta! Featuring a 10K Run, 5K Run and Walk, and 1K McDonald’s Go Active! Walk (perfect for little legs), there is truly something for everyone. With the start and finish line at Market Mall, participants will wind through the community of Varsity enjoying some of Calgary’s finest musical entertainers, artists, dancers, and performers along the way. Families are also invited to join in the Family Festival area located outside Market Mall for complimentary snacks, bouncy castles, caricature artists, balloon twisters, a petting zoo, face painting, photo booth, and more. Commemorate the life of Canadian hero Terry Fox and raise money for cancer research at the annual Terry Fox Run. Being held Sunday, September 17, 2017 at 10am at TELUS Spark, Calgary's Science Centre. This family event will feature face painting, games and live entertainment, and is open to people of all ages. Walk, run or ride 1km, 5km, or 10km in the fight against cancer!

Curefest originated in Washington when The Truth 365 was formed to unite the childhood cancer community, key members of government, the medical cancer community, and renowned celebrities so that one voice could make more of a difference than many smaller voices. on Saturday, join Curefest for Guest Speakers, Music and Entertainment, Childhood cancer-related foundations with information booths, a variety of some of Calgary's great food trucks, and Natasha's eNeRGy casual ride/walk with choice of suggested loops, supported by Bow Cycle.
