Looking for resources to keep your kids entertained during March break? Visit one of 12 Calgary Public Library locations to find an Early Learning Centre or one of six locations with a Questionarium where kids can move, play, and find answers to big questions. Plus, the students section has lots of ideas for activities, book recommendations, and digital resources to keep hands and minds busy.

The kids are out of school, now get them out of the house during Spring Movie Break at Landmark Cinemas. Choose from select family friendly movies for just $5 each, with $1 from every ticket sold donated to Kids Help Phone.

Pysanky for Peace is a Ukrainian artwork fundraiser intended to raise funds and support for Ukrainians who have been displaced or otherwise impacted by the war in Ukraine. A group of more than 20 local artists led by pysanka master Daena Diduck, will design 50 three dimensional eggs (in honour of Southcentre’s 50th anniversary this year), ranging from a few inches to nearly five feet tall. The eggs will be displayed at the mall as public art until the end of the month and will be available for purchase in exchange for a donation to WUNDERfund, a nonprofit that provides humanitarian aid to Ukrainians locally and abroad.

How does the HUNT work? A vast area of the local park will be filled with thousands of colorful treat-filled eggs and prize tokens, just waiting for your furry friend to find them (with your assistance). In addition to the treats and redeemable prize tokens your pup will discover in their collected eggs, each participant will receive a fully loaded Signature NSD gift bag to take home. Grand Prizes will also be awarded to the top three (3) fundraisers.

It can be tricky to find family friendly things to do during the wintertime — Fort Calgary is launching Toddler Time. Every Friday, join for exciting story times, age-appropriate crafts, coloring and more for youngsters aged five and younger.
