When I look at my own home, with two young children, a husband, and a busy mom running her own business, I know how quickly high traffic areas can get out of hand. The "stuff" we use everyday can easily turn a space into complete chaos.
Unfortunately, in today’s fashionable society, clothing can cost hundreds of dollars, especially the most popular and beloved name brands. This may be totally acceptable for well-off adults, but there are alternatives to buying pricey clothes for those who are still growing. Dressing children for less can be easy, even for those brand-name savvy parents.
Re-order your closets
This season, instead of buying yet another pair of mittens or boots, take a moment to restore order first. It could save you money and simplify your space. "I see it all the time when I help clients organize," says Kristie Demke, President of Professional Organizers in Canada. "People often have all the winter clothing they need, but just can't find it when they need it. It's often easier to re-purchase than search when people don't remember what they have or where it's located. Being properly organized will save you time, frustration and money!"
