Calgary Unplugged is an annual family-friendly Earth Hour event. Date: Saturday, March 23, 2024 Time: 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Location: Central Library (800 3 Street SE) Join us for music, entertainment, and opportunities to experience what environmental actions you can take in Calgary. Pedal power midway games and experience how our natural world affects our daily lives. Bring personal lighting and dance to the DJ when the lights go down for the Earth Hour party! Calgary Unplugged is hosted by The Arusha Centre's Climate Program, with support from The City of Calgary and community agencies. If you can't make it to the event, turning off nonessential lights, "unplug" from electronics at 8:30 and reconnect with people, games or hobbies! July 21 to 24: Calgary Folk Music Festival. An annual sound salvation that programs 76 icons and upstarts from 16 countries on 8 stages in concerts and magical collaborative sessions! For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the website.

July 20 to 24: 2016 Grand Opening of Cobb’s Corn Maze & Family Fun Park. There will be free face painting, free cotton candy, free balloons, even the Bouncy World, Eurobungy, Archery Tag, Blaster Balls, Zorbz, Climbing Wall, Spider Climb, Ropes Course, Waterz and Blacklight Mini-Golf are free all week! July 19 to 24: Disney’s NEWSIES, the Musical. They delivered the papers, until they made the headlines. Direct from Broadway comes NEWSIES, the smash-hit, crowd-pleasing new musical from Disney. Visit the award-wining Calgary Corn Maze & Fun Farm for a full petting zoo with kittens, bunnies, goats, sheep, mini donkeys, and horses. Directions: Take Stoney Trail SE (Highway 201) to Highway 22X East. Take the Highway 22X East exit. This exit is located at the very southeast corner of Stoney Trail (where Stoney Trail SE changes from running east/west to north/south). Drive on Highway 22X East for 3.2 kilometers (approx. 2 minutes) to Range Road 285 (watch for a blue Calgary Corn Maze highway sign prior to this intersection as well as a RV storage place with a big white fence). Turn right (south) onto Range Road 285. Drive 1.4 kilometers and take your first left (east) onto Township Road 224. Drive 1.6 kilometers. We're on your left!
