Calgary Unplugged is an annual family-friendly Earth Hour event. Date: Saturday, March 23, 2024 Time: 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Location: Central Library (800 3 Street SE) Join us for music, entertainment, and opportunities to experience what environmental actions you can take in Calgary. Pedal power midway games and experience how our natural world affects our daily lives. Bring personal lighting and dance to the DJ when the lights go down for the Earth Hour party! Calgary Unplugged is hosted by The Arusha Centre's Climate Program, with support from The City of Calgary and community agencies. If you can't make it to the event, turning off nonessential lights, "unplug" from electronics at 8:30 and reconnect with people, games or hobbies! July 20 to 24: 2016 Grand Opening of Cobb’s Corn Maze & Family Fun Park. The University of Calgary’s Students’ Union Volunteer Services – Students for Literacy is once again presenting Dr. Seuss in the Park this summer! From June 25 to August 27, the group will set up a tent in Riley Park each Saturday between 11am and 3:30pm to get kids excited about books! There will also be crafts, games and face paint. Children of all ages are welcome as long as they are accompanied by an adult, and the events are free!
