Bison Survival Story Robe recalls the history of the bison as a story of both slaughter and survivance. Once numbering in the millions, bison herds were driven to the brink of extinction in the 19th century. Bison Story Robe shares this history in the form of a pictographic winter count drawing on the Blackfoot tradition of recording collective memory on hide.
