Mother's Day Language of Friendship Workshop.
> Sunday May 8, 2016 at 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The past year has been tough for many Calgarians. As an organization committed to providing our services to as many kids and parents possible we’ve been troubled by the thought of families missing out on our workshops due to financial constraints. In celebration of moms and in support of any Calgary families who would benefit from a little help in attending our workshops, we’re offering this Mother’s Day Language of Friendship workshop for half price ($17.50 per person). This workshop, facilitated by GirlPower and GoodGuys founder Dana Kerford, utilizes interactive parent-tween activities to teach parents strategies to help their child put out Friendship Fires™, how to put a voice to their feelings and the best ways to support him/her through unhealthy friendships. We will also highlight the fascinating similarities and differences between boys and girls and their experiences in friendship. This workshop gives tweens and parents a new 'language' for talking about friendship, strengthening their connection and opening up those lines of communication.
Cost:$17.50
Location:Fort Calgary - Burnswest Theatre
