The Bridgeland Arctic Adventure is a 7.5K Outdoor Adventure Circuit in Calgary and features 13 stops in the Bridgeland community, including human curling, an icefield traverse, a snow beach, and more! There are also prizes to be won by completing scavenger hunts and posting at least 3 pictures or videos at different locations on social media with the proper tags. And on weekends, check out Bridgeland Distillery‘s outdoor ice bar for winter cocktails between 2 and 6pm! Follow the latest public health and pandemic regulations. Takes place Saturdays & Sundays, March 6 to 28. The Wizards of Oakwood Drive is a kids-only experience. It is designed for young audiences aged 6 to 12. Parents, guardians, and/or caregivers are welcome to view the show as their child participates, but no adults without children will be admitted to the performance. One ticket per household. Calgary Unplugged is an annual family-friendly Earth Hour event. Date: Saturday, March 23, 2024 Time: 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Location: Central Library (800 3 Street SE) Join us for music, entertainment, and opportunities to experience what environmental actions you can take in Calgary. Pedal power midway games and experience how our natural world affects our daily lives. Bring personal lighting and dance to the DJ when the lights go down for the Earth Hour party! Calgary Unplugged is hosted by The Arusha Centre's Climate Program, with support from The City of Calgary and community agencies. If you can't make it to the event, turning off nonessential lights, "unplug" from electronics at 8:30 and reconnect with people, games or hobbies! The perfect activity to spend time outdoors with family! WinSport's Tube Park is one of the fastest of its kind in Western Canada. The Tube Park features eight lanes of fun and a magic carpet brings you and your tube to the top. Washrooms are available on-site. The Tube Park is open on weekends and holidays (weather permitting). Get outside and get active, while fundraising for families who need to stay at a Ronald McDonald House in Alberta. Play shinny at the ODR; book practice time at your local curling club; do a virtual dryland challenge with your hockey team; crush your favorite moguls; snowshoe or cross-country ski an outdoor trail; toboggan at your neighborhood park; or even build a snowman! Due to COVID-19, please be mindful of all current provincial restrictions and public health guidelines when choosing your winter activity.

2021 marks the 9th year of the Calgary Zoo Penguin Walk! The king penguin colony heads out on zoo grounds for a daily enrichment walk in the winter months to keep their brains and bodies healthy and visitors get to experience the fun! This incredible program allows visitors to get an up-close look at the group of king penguins as they explore, exercise, and waddle their way through the zoo. This is a free-choice activity for the penguins and is subject to weather conditions* and animal inclination.

If you love puzzles and penguins, don't miss this brand new daytime edition of Locked Zoo! On this outdoor adventure, your household team will explore the zoo to solve an elaborate series of puzzles - all about penguins! Find the clues, solve the puzzles, and save the day.
