Homeschoolers! Join the YYC Nature & Education Centre to learn about Nocturnal Creatures! As the sun sets, the world comes to life with the creatures of the night. Meet sugar gliders, snakes, geckos, and more animals, learn about their adaptations to live in the dark, and explore the nocturnal world. Homeschool Sessions are planned to include parents, but unaccompanied students are welcome. Two sessions available at 11am and 1pm

Does your preschooler love animals? This parent and child program is designed for kids three to five to learn about animals with their parents. Meet a Gecko! Pet an Iguana! Come Face to Face with a Dragon! This general program will introduce you to animals at an age appropriate level.

Celebrate Spooky Season and get to know some misunderstood animals that people fear. Seperate facts and fiction on snakes and spiders. Learn about what "eye of newt" actually means, while meeting a newt.

As the sun descends and darkness falls, animals creep out to live under the cover of the night. Meet a snake that catches bats in mid-air. Learn why geckos and frogs spend their nights hunting. Meet a nocturnal mammal.

At the Schulich School of Engineering, we want students to know that a rich and diverse engineering community is essential to finding solutions to society’s biggest challenges. We’re committed to increasing the representation of women and other underrepresented groups in engineering while celebrating their contributions to innovation and design. Join us for this free annual event for Grade 7 to 10 students in underrepresented groups and experience an exciting introduction to the world of engineering. With events hosted at most of Canada’s top universities Go ENG Girl offers girls and non-binary youth in grades 7-11 the chance to learn more about engineering through a series of fun hands-on activities and exhibits. Women undergraduate students, professional engineers and professors take part in the day to share their stories of passion, inspiration and success. A complimentary lunch will be provided to all attendees, including chaperones. There will be a limited number of dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available.
